We are currently open for entry for Awards 2024, with early bird entry running until Friday 21st June, followed by our normal entry period until Friday 26th July. Judging will take place in September. Our shortlist will be released at the beginning of October and our Gala Awards Night, the culmination of this process, takes place on Friday 1st November 2024.

The FreeFrom Food Awards Ireland was founded by coeliac entrepreneur John Burke in 2015. The team includes fellow coeliac, Emma Clarke Conway, diabetic Ashley Neville and the awards are co-presented by journalist and coach, Maria McHale, also a coeliac. 

The judging panels are made up of coeliacs, diabetics, people with wheat, gluten or dairy intolerance, vegans, vegetarians and individuals with various allergies. They also include journalists, dietitians, chefs, bakers, nutritionists and parents of children of family members of those who must adhere to FreeFrom diets.
