Sauces galore – taste of goodness/nature’s oils win big
We are delighted to finally begin rollout of Awards Certificates to all of our fantastic FFFAI Winners, after a long hiatus.
Pictured are Gary Gilmore, Nature’s Oils/Taste of Goodness Head of Group Operations, being presented with the 2021 FreeFrom Food Awards by John Burke, Founder, FreeFrom Food Awards Ireland. Nature’s Oils swept the boards in the Catering & Food Service Category, with gold for their Barbeque, silver for the Garlic Mayo and bronze for their Pepper Sauce.
Pictured also is Emma Clarke Conway, Awards Coordinator. Taste of Goodness Sauces took home six awards, across the categories, with bronze for their ketchup in Condiments & Dressings, bronze for the Barbeque in Marinades & Dry Spices, silver for the Sweet Chilli in Sauces (Cooking) and merit for the Barbeque, while silver went to the South West Sauce in Sauces (Pour Over). A merit was awarded in Parent’s Choice to the Pepper Sauce.
A Note on the Categories:
Throughout these categories, our Judges were so impressed with the flavour of the winning products. Sauces were said to be authentic, scored high and close together meaning that there are some double awards granted. It was noted that non-freefrom people wouldn’t tell the difference. There was a huge amount of discussion with personal preference coming into the debate, but decisions came down to choice and taste and which were actually just good sauces.
Well done to Taste of Goodness Sauces and Nature’s Oils for these fantastic wins! To find out more including where to buy see www.naturesoils.ie or www.tasteofgoodness.ie
The Awards were announced in December over zoom. It was not possible to have a live ceremony due to the covid crisis, instead awards are being circulated to winners throughout spring with restrictions lifted.
